Welcome. Thank you for visiting the official website of RAON Users Association. The RAON facility is a rare isotope accelerator facility, which will be the major large-scale research facility of the IBS (Institute of Basic Science). The Korean government decided the construction of RAON at 2009 and the official activity for RAON construction started at 2011. When constructed, this will become a basis facility of the next generation in pure science research. The RAON accelerator facility will provide coner stones of fundamental science research in Korea in a wide range of research topics including the synthesis of new elements, evolution of the universe, research in the formation of new materials, application to bio-medical sciences, etc. The purpose of this project is to promote this facility to a world class institute so that it can offer the research opportunities to world-wide scientists. The RAON Users Association is an aggregation of the researchers who are doing investigation in the research area using rare isotope beams. The purpose of this association is to support research activities in this field. We strongly welcome you to join us if you are interested in this research activities. Even if you are not an expert in this field, you are welcome to join us as a special member if you have an interest in rare isotope accelerators and related research. We expect your contribution to the development of fundamental science in Korea.

중이온가속기 이용자들의 모임인 중이온가속기이용자협회를 찾아 주셔서 감사합니다.
중이온가속기는 기초과학연구원의 핵심 시설로서 2009년 과학벨트 내 대표적인 대형연구시설로서 건설하기로 결정이 이루어졌으며
2011년 본격적인 사업이 시작되어 장차 우리나라 차세대 기초과학연구의 기반 시설로 성장하기를 목표로 하고 있습니다.
중이온 가속시설은 새로운 원소의 생성, 우주의 진화, 신물질 연구와 의생명과학에의 응용을 비롯하여 아주 넓은 분야에서 우리나라 기초연구를
선도해 나갈 기반을 제공하며 이 분야에서 세계 첨단의 연구를 수행할 기회를 우리나라 연구진뿐 아니라 아시아와 세계 각지의 연구진에게도 부여할 것입니다. 본 중이온가속기이용자협회는 중이온가속기를 이용한 연구를 수행하고자하는 이용자들의 모임으로 다양한 분야에서 중이온가속기를 활용하는 연구를 지원하고 함께 연구할 기회를 제공하고자 합니다. 중이온가속기 이용 연구에 관심이 있으신 분들의 적극적인 참여를 바랍니다.
아울러 본 협회는 전문 연구 인력 뿐 아니라 중이온가속기 및 그 이용연구에 관심이 있으신 분들의 참여도 환영합니다.
회원 가입에는 제한 조건이 없으며 전문 연구 인력이 아닌 분들은 특별회원으로 가입하실 수 있습니다.
